Getting Here

DRIVING TO CAMPUS:

From Highway 101 North & South:

Take the Embarcadero Road exit west toward Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Street as it enters the university. Stay in the left lane and continue toward the center of campus. Turn left at the first stop sign onto Campus Drive.  Proceed approximately one mile to Mayfield Avenue and turn right.  Mayfield turns sharply to the left in approximately 100 yards.  After the turn you will find parking in the Tresidder parking lot on the right.  

From Highway 280 North & South:

Exit 280 at Alpine Road, heading east. Make a right at the first stop light onto Junipero Serra Boulevard. Turn left at the second stoplight, Campus Drive East.  (The first traffic light is Campus Drive West.) Continue around Campus Drive East and turn left at the first stop sign onto Mayfield Avenue. Mayfield turns sharply to the left in approximately 100 yards.  After the turn you will find parking in the Tresidder parking lot on the right.

From El Camino Real:

Exit El Camino Real at University Avenue. Turn toward the hills (away from the center of Palo Alto). As you enter Stanford, University Avenue becomes Palm Drive. Go through one traffic light and turn left onto Campus Drive at the first stop sign.  Continue around Campus Drive and turn right on Mayfield Avenue.  Mayfield turns sharply to the left in approximately 100 yards.  After the turn you will find parking in the Tresidder parking lot on the right.  

PARKING ON CAMPUS:

Please note that parking is monitored on campus Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  The SOS events are scheduled after these hours so you do not need to pay for parking in the lots or at the meters, and you may also park in any space marked for ‘A’ or ‘C’ permits.  The Tresidder Parking lot is convenient to both Kresge Auditorium (Friday night) and the School of Education (Saturday).  Construction has temporarily displaced some parking near Kresge Auditorium.  Alvarado Row has been closed, but you can use Arguello Mall to access ‘A’ parking lots near the auditorium if you prefer.

From The Tresidder Parking Lot to Kresge Auditorium (Friday night event):

From the parking lot, walk onto campus, keeping Tresidder Union on the left and Dinkelspiel Auditorium on the right. After passing the Dinkelspiel Auditorium, turn toward the right. Now facing the Post Office, walk past the Post Office on the right. The Law School will be straight ahead and Kresge Auditorium will be beyond that on the right.
The Friday night reception (for SOS school team members only) will be held in a garden between the Law School and Kresge Auditorium from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

From The Tresidder Parking Lot to the School of Education (Saturday event open to SOS school teams only):
From the parking lot, walk onto campus, keeping Tresidder Union on the left and Dinkelspiel Auditorium on the right. After passing the Dinkelspiel Auditorium veer left toward the fountain, keeping the Post Office on your right.  Continue straight on Lasuen Mall passing the Bookstore, Barnum Center and the Clock Tower.  The School of Education will be the next building on the right.
